Yep, its high but has a long runway in a valley with plenty of room to climb before heading across high terrain. Leadville is also one of the "lunch bunch" group locations on the western slope.

What's the "Lunch Bunch?":

On the western slope, Bill Marvel (Airport Rep for Grand Junction) routinely puts together mid-week lunch events. There's always a new place to go. If you would like to join him - there's no registration - just show up!
